Built on craft,
guided by people.
At Haus Group, we believe great products begin long before they are built — shaped by intent, refined through detail, and supported with care.

Our Story
Haus Group was founded on a simple belief — the detail matters. For founder Dane Hocking, that belief was shaped early.
Coming from a family of farmers and engineers, building, fixing, and improving things was part of everyday life. An anvil from his family’s farm in Tandarra now sits on the manufacturing floor at Haus HQ, a quiet reminder of that origin, and a symbol of the way products are approached: designed to truly work.
While studying Mechanical Engineering at Monash University, Dane worked in retail, gaining a close understanding of the kitchen appliance industry. It was there he recognised a gap, particularly in the design and performance of rangehoods.
Rather than accepting what existed, he set out to rethink it.
Guided by physics, practical thinking, and a clear intent to create something both powerful and genuinely quiet, Dane began developing a new approach. In a mechanic’s shed in regional Victoria, the first Whispair system took shape.
What began as a prototype, later introduced…

at a Home Show, quickly gained attention for the right reasons. From those early beginnings, Whispair has grown into Australia’s leading rangehood brand within the luxury kitchen segment.
That success became the foundation for HAUS.
Today, the business has expanded into a broader ecosystem of brands including Spezialist, a premium cooking and culinary workstation range, and PITT Cooking, the globally recognised Dutch cooktop brand, which became part of the HAUS ecosystem through strategic partnership and integration.
HAUS remains a proudly Australian, family-owned business. Dane’s wife, Nadine, along with his brothers Chris and Corie, play key roles within the company, alongside a team that has grown with the business over time. Several of the original team members remain today, reflecting a culture built on loyalty, shared responsibility, and long-term commitment.
While the company has expanded internationally, with operations across Australia, Europe, and North America, the approach remains unchanged.
Haus Group continues to operate as an end-to-end kitchen design and engineering business — designing, assembling, and supporting each product with care. Every system is built to order, reflecting a commitment to quality, consistency, and craftsmanship.
At its core, Haus Group is defined not just by what it produces, but by how it does it, with intention, precision, and a belief that every detail contributes to the whole.

Our Approach
What defines Haus Group is not just what we make — but how we think, how we work, and how we support the people who choose us.
Precision in design
Every product is engineered with intent — where performance, form, and detail are considered as one.
Integrity in delivery
We prioritise consistency and quality across every stage — from specification to installation.
Support beyond installation
Our responsibility does not end at delivery. We continue to support our products, our partners, and our customers over time with not just words but actions.
Our values shape how we design, deliver, and support — guiding every decision across our brands and partnerships. These principles are not statements — they are standards.

Precision matters
Excellence is built through consistency — in design, in engineering, and in every interaction.

Pride in Every Touchpoint
Luxury isn’t the product alone. It’s the feeling we create at every moment —before, during, and long after installation.

Integrity in Craft
We do things the right way — not the fast way — ensuring long-term quality over short-term gain.

People First
We build relationships on respect, trust, and accountability — internally and externally.

Progress with Purpose
We evolve thoughtfully — improving continuously without losing what makes us trusted.
